Overview[]
Zoras, sometimes called Sea Zoras to disambiguate them from Zolas, are a race of hospitable water-dwelling omnivorous creatures that can breath both air and water freely. Zoras are normally found near or in large bodies of water, and feed primarily on fish and sea grasses. Their skin color lies in the white-blue-gray area, although brown/red is also a possible, though seemingly rarer variant. Most individuals (but not all) have fins attached to their arms and one of many variations of appendages at the back of their head. Zora young are hatched from amphibeous eggs, however, the newly hatched feed on their mother's milk.
Zora tribes tend to inhabit sea caves or underground caverns where pure spring water flows forth. Zora skin has been revealed to be semi-permeable and therefore, swimming in polluted water will harm a Zora. Many Zora tribes find themselves in conflict with Zola over territory.
Combat[]
Zora warriors prefer to wield either spears or the bladed edges of their fins in conjunction with their martial prowess with hand to hand combat. The Zora are gifted with magical abilities, with a special compunction for lightning-based magics. One Zora warrior in particular gained the supernatural ability to detatch both fins from his arms and send them forth like boomerangs, but this is far from common.
